Wet Processing of Silica Sand

Wet processing
From approx. 900,000 tonnes of raw sand per year, Strobel Quarzsand produces high-quality silica sand – through precise, multi-stage wet processing. Every raw sand is different: varying clay and heavy mineral content as well as different grain sizes require flexible processing paths, which we achieve through selectively divided wet processing systems.
Multi-stage processing in detail
Wet processing at Strobel Quarzsand is not a one-size-fits-all process – it is adapted to the specific properties of each raw sand. Raw sands up to 0.3 mm grain size go through a different plant structure than sands up to 0.6 mm grain size. This selective approach is essential for reliably meeting individual customer specifications.
